January 5, 2021
We’re working on catching our breath as we head into 2021, so we are closed for in person shopping until at least January 12, 2021 – potentially a little longer.
If you need to do an exchange, please call the shop (902) 407-5242 or email events@trainyardstore.com before the holiday exchange period ends (Jan 12) and we will make that happen.
You can still order online for local pick up, delivery or shipping! We have big things on the horizon that we’re looking forward to sharing with you soon!
Kimberley & The Trainyard Team
Welcome To
The Trainyard!
Community and kindness influence everything we do around here.
We’re Glad You’re Here!

What We’re About
We work with makers and small businesses to offer a wide selection of whimsical & practical handcrafted goods. Everything we carry was created by a Canadian business.
We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming space for our customers, makers & community at large and this includes working to be actively anti-racist.
Since opening in 2016, we have encouraged thoughtful shopping, through our selection of handcrafted goods and taken steps to reduce our environmental impact as we grow.
We believe community and business are one and the same.
We Love Our Community!
Community Building
Events, Giving & Friendship
Through Trainyard Connect we support our community partners The North Grove, The MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning and Hope for Wildlife. We strive to support other organizations through special events whenever possible!
When possible we play host to community events including, Nocturne (Coming October 2020!), workshops & more.
In store we always collect donations of personal care items for The North Grove, and also have our own mini Little Free Library!

We’re Open Online!

With COVID-19 restrictions we’ve been working hard to build an online store, and you’ll find a wide selection of our current inventory available now for local pick up or shipping within Canada.
We’re also offering Shopping By Appointment if you’d like to visit the shop with your ‘bubble.’
